CryptoTigers X Crossroads

Hello, I'm Miguel, the 11-year-old founder and creator of CryptoTigers. I have decided to help and empower underprivileged children who are struggling with online learning and with general access to technology by collaborating with the Crossroads Foundation, a global non-profit Hong Kong-based organization which helps people in need, all around the world!

Why Give?

I have decided to donate to a charity that could help give children access to technology for multiple reasons. For starters, I have been given the gift of accessibility to technology from my parents since I was very young. As a result of this, I started programming since the age of 6 and have been able to create incredible things and take-on new opportunities with it, and I want to give this to others.

Another reason is because I've read so many news reports and articles especially in the past 2+ years (2020+) about how disadvantaged children are struggling with online learning since the pandemic hit us, so I really want to do my share to help.

Why Crossroads?
CryptoTigers has chosen to help and donate to those in needs via. and with Crossroads because Crossroads has a dedicated technology sector where they provide refurbished laptops (and more) to underprivileged children with no access to technology. They have a special facility (which I've visited) where they have many volunteers to come help with refurbishing and sending out these tech goods.

Crossroads also not only gives to those in need locally, but globally too! The ability to give items to those in need all around the world is a huge pro for me because it means more people will have the chance to be helped no matter where they live.

I hope you can see now why Crossroads was a good choice for CryptoTigers and why I picked it. Now the only question left is HOW CryptoTigers is going to donate and help those in needs, and that will be covered in the section below.

In addition to monetary commitment, I will also physically visit Crossroads' HQ around every month (their facility is considerably far from where I live) and personally volunteer to help the technology department by, for example, refurbishing hardware, installing new operating systems, packing for shipment and more!
