Hello! My name is Miguel, I'm an 11-year-old boy born in October of 2010, and I live in the special administrative region of Hong Kong. I speak fluent English, some Mandarin Chinese (普通话), a bit of Cantonese (廣東話), and I'm currently learning Spanish in school :D. Here's a quick and friendly introduction of me: I started to fall in love with technology and computers since I was 5 years old, and I have had a heavy interest in programming since I was 6. I discovered the world of Crypto, NFT's, the Metaverse and much more all very recently in the late part of 2021, and I was immediately drawn to the idea of a decentralized free world. Now, I am using my knowledge in programming to create a minting dApp for my very first NFT art collection, CryptoTigers, which launched on January 31 (12:00 AM GMT+8), also known as Chinese/Lunar New Year's Eve.
I created the CryptoTigers NFT collection by self-researching online and using platforms such as GitHub and YouTube. I first had a cartoon face of a tiger I found as a reference, then put that reference into pixilart.com, where I somewhat traced it with a black outline. Next, I thought of traits for the tiger and came up with different ears, eyes, stripes, forehead patterns, and much more, then made different varieties within those traits. I made each variety of each trait a different layer in pixilart.com, and slowly worked on it until I finished enough that I was satisfied with them. Afterwards, I used Visual Studio Code and fed all the layers+traits into the HashLips Art Engine which then randomly generated different tigers using the different layers (I added rarity to each one of the varieties) I gave it. After all my 888 tigers were successfully created as images, I searched videos on YouTube on how to deploy an NFT smart contract on the Ethereum blockchain. I used The Stripes NFT minting dApp tutorial where I followed the video and uploaded the images and metadata to IPFS via. Pinata, then deployed the smart contract on Ethereum with the Ethereum Remix IDE. Continuing the video, I copied code to Visual Studio Code to build my minting dApp. Next, I had to have a website to host the minting dApp, which is where I used Vercel to host my website onto a subdomain of cryptotigers.club, where it was connected to my GitHub repository with all the code for the minting dApp. Last but not least, I needed a launch website, which is why I used GoDaddy to get the domain 'cryptotigers.club' to tell more about the NFT collection.
The reason why I created 888 tigers and not some other animal like a snake was because of the following:

Yes, I am actually an 11-year-old. I was born in October 2010, and I will turn 12 in October this year (2022).
Yes, I had no help from my parents or anyone I knew in-real-life. Check the about creation section slightly above to see a very in-depth explanation of how I made everything.
I started making NFTs because I was heavily interested in crypto, and NFTs were a big part of it. I just wanted to test and try it out to see the process of creating one.
My plan for the future is to see how the CryptoTigers NFT collection does as it is just a test run. If it does well, I will make more NFT art (I already have some more NFTs) and use my previous experience from CryptoTigers to launch it. But my overall goal in life is to become an entrepreneur and create a start-up business related to Crypto (for example OpenSea, Unstoppable Domains, and possibly my own blockchain???)
Anyone who is Chinese would know the answer to this. In China, the number 8 represents good luck because the character 八 (means 8) sounds similar to 发 (generate wealth). Also, I think 0.0888 ETH is a relatively cheap and affordable price to list an NFT in the NFT market.
Check the about collection section slightly above to see a very in-depth explanation of the meaning behind the collection (including why tigers, and the launch date)
